Vintage Handkerchief Rag Quilt. Hanky Quilt with Flowers.
Have you always loved the look of hanky quilts, but didn't have any vintage hankies to have one made? This quilt is made with beautiful, true vintage handkerchiefs. Lovely florals, lace, crochet edging, and more are in this very pretty quilt. There are 25 - 17" squares. I've layered some hankies on others in some of the squares, so there are more than 25 hankies used for this quilt.
The hankies are sewn onto a premium white muslin. There are two layers of thick, premium white quilt flannel for the back and batting inside the squares. The two layers of flannel gives the wider seams an extra fluffiness!
I've added two photos at the end of this listing showing a red bouquet of flowers. When the quilt was washed, some of the red bled a little, so there is a haze around the bouquet. The last photo is of the back flannel at that point with a slight pink tinge. It really doesn't take away from the quilt, but I wanted to let you know what I see.
Because of the nature of vintage hankies, there may be small blemishes and spots and some yellowing. Vintage hankies have a past and many of them have been used which gives them character and a look into their past.
Approximate size is 76" x 76" This pretty quilt is ready to ship!

This quilt has been washed and dried once to start the ragging process. I wash each quilt using a gentle, cold water cycle and dry using a low setting. Your quilt will become even more fluffy with each washing.
